Support ukranian youth

You can help some ukranian teenager to participate in an educational courses, join an excursion or a camp.

About 30,000 Ukrainians are officially registered in Latvia, who fled the war and are temporarily in the country. Among them, 32% are children from 2 to 17 years old. To help children socialize in Latvia, find new friends and just feel more comfortable, Young Folks opened the Ukrainian Youth community in Riga. This is a club for Ukrainian teenagers, which already has 50 members. And since all participants are refugees, not everyone has the opportunity to attend paid activities.

Since the beginning of the war, about 30,000 ukrainian refugees have arrived in Latvia. Almost half of them are children from 2 to 17 years old. Socialization in another country is as necessary as it is difficult for a child or teenager. The ukrainian youth community in Riga by Young Folks has already hosted 50 teenagers from Ukraine to help them find friends, get to know Riga, and develop in Latvia. Together, the guys organize weekly meetings, trips out of town, trips to a museum or an exhibition. They also volunteer at YF events and open their own clubs.

What is included in the activities of the ukrainian Youth community in Riga:

Attending trainings
Organization of evenings of Ukrainian culture
Informal education and lectures
Getting to know the local culture
Visiting museums and cultural activities
Weekly meetings and meetings for newcomers
Trips to other cities of Latvi

Basically, all activities are free, but not every ukrainian teenager has enough money to travel abroad with YF, intensives, master classes or camps. You can help the guys develop the ukrainian Youth community in Latvia. Your contribution will be the beginning of the promotion of young ukrainian talents.
